Our Bee Story: How We Became Bee Chillin’ Honey

I still remember the day a swarm of bees landed on our family trampoline in our backyard. It was 2013, and little did I know that this unexpected arrival would mark the beginning of an incredible journey.

I still remember the day a swarm of bees landed on our family trampoline in our backyard. It was 2013, and little did I know that this unexpected arrival would mark the beginning of an incredible journey. As a family, we’ve always been passionate about the environment and wildlife, and this chance encounter sparked a new passion in me – beekeeping.

From Bee Keeping Hobby to Full-Time Bee Removal and Beekeeper Job

With some experience in beekeeping from a young age, I decided to keep and care for these bees. I was fortunate to have a local beekeeper mentor who guided me through the process, teaching me the ins and outs of beekeeping. As I gained more experience, I began to help my mentor with bee removals, learning the art of safely relocating swarms and colonies from homes and buildings. Before long, I was taking on more removal jobs, and what was once a hobby became a full-time job.

Our Mission: Saving Bees One Colony at a Time

At Bee Chillin’ Honey, our mission is clear: to produce the highest quality Australian honey while saving bee colonies one at a time. We’re committed to chemical-free beekeeping, ensuring that our honey is 100% raw and sourced from our hives in pristine coastal bushland. In addition to honey production, we focus on rehousing swarms and safely removing bee colonies from homes and buildings.

Why We Care About Bees

Bees play a vital role in our ecosystem, and their importance cannot be overstated. Without bees and their pollination, many of the foods we love and enjoy would not exist. We’re dedicated to protecting the health and well-being of these incredible insects, and we believe that our approach to beekeeping is not only better for the bees but also for the environment.

Our Honey Products: A Labor of Love

We’re proud to offer a range of products that showcase the beauty of our bees’ hard work. Our products include:

  • 100% raw honey, sourced from our hives in coastal pristine bushland
  • Pure beeswax candles
  • Block wax
  • Honey and creamed honey (plain, cinnamon, chocolate)
  • Mead varieties (coming soon)

Honey Quality Matters

We take great care in extracting and bottling our honey, ensuring that every jar is filled with the finest, most delicious honey possible. Our honey is only taken from the hives when the frames are fully capped, ensuring that the quality and flavors are never compromised.
